Sept. 4, 2008: PRSA Monthly Luncheon

"How Employee Online Behavior Affects Your Organization -- Both Sides of the Story"

A CNN reporter gets fired for blogging. School teachers are facing criticism and termination for posting photos on social network sites. A company rebuilds trust through online conversations with customers. Some employees unknowingly risk their jobs by participating in online conversations at home about their personal lives. In this new world of online communication, the line between work and home is blurred more than ever before.

At this annual PRSA luncheon focusing on ethics, panelists Kelly Smith, assistant superintendent for technology services at Northside ISD, and Jenny LaCoste-Caputo, education editor for the San Antonio Express-News, will discuss how employee online behavior away from work can affect your company and how you can encourage employees to communicate online without putting you at risk.

Date: Sept. 4, 2008
Time: 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m.
Location: Bright Shawl, 819 Augusta, San Antonio, Texas 78215, 210-225-6366
