Advancing the Profession and the Professional
Thinking on Your Feet - How to Communicate Clear and Concise Messages on the Spot

PR professionals are expected to be on point at all times - in business meetings, media interviews, press conferences and more. Yet, as some of us know all too well, a brain freeze can hit us at any time, and often occurs at the most inopportune time. During this luncheon, Nora Frost will arm you with tactics to overcome those awkward and wordless moments. As the owner of the boutique public relations agency, Dos Culturas, and a standup comedian in her free time, Nora has extensive experience turning silent moments into golden opportunities to get a message (or joke) across.

Two Cents: Ditching Warp Speed, or How I Plan to Get Off the Rollercoaster, One Foot at a Time

By Paige Ramsey-Palmer, APR

I have an uncomfortable feeling of not belonging to the present. Unable to identify the reason, I’ve attributed it to too much work and not enough me. I’ve mentioned this to others – that since 2001, events seem to run together. Once I could relate a prior year to a major event or crossroads that happened, but the past decade seems like one hurried finger painting left to dry before it was finished.
